Timid Rise

As an ardent climber, Coralie explores in her art the themes of permanence, adapting to change and letting go. Using the mountains and the skies and sun cycles as symbols, these natural elements are metaphors for the need to observe and respect Mother Nature in the face of overwhelming changes that one experiences in life, the acceptance of letting go of the past and starting again, and of life and death.

This painting is part of the series "Transition", which explores the in-between moments of the day, in between the night and the day, where life seems suspended for a moment, where time slowly shifts, where we let go and begin anew.
