Iron Lady

RichHARD HoffMAN, 2021

Acrylic & ink on paper, framed

W12 x H12 x D3.5cm frame; W3.5 x H3.5cm image

RichHARD created the The Subversive Post Office as a concept to offer a highly collectible series of miniature art through subtle provocation. Using genuine postage stamps, he hand-paints each piece to hint at a story and commentary on a wide range of issues. The power of the work plays with the Establishment and iconic popular culture in a post urban fine art format.

This work, Iron Lady, depicts Margaret Thatcher's moniker as the Terminator suggesting that "I'll be back", but will she? The artwork is painted on a 2014 British stamp and set in a smart black frame. Please enquire if you want it in a white frame.
