RichHARD created the The Subversive Post Office as a concept to offer a highly collectible series of miniature art through subtle provocation. Using genuine postage stamps, he hand-paints each piece to hint at a story and commentary on a wide range of issues. The power of the work plays with the Establishment and iconic popular culture in a post urban fine art format.

In Sassy, Rich depicts the ever popular pre-school tv character, Peppa Pig, as the Queen. Perhaps it is a comment on creating a diversion from business-as-usual and not following the rules? It is painted on vintage 1970s 2p QEII British stamp.

RichHARD is a post pop urban artist and, like him, his work is captivating and full of life. RichHARD’s works are bold and chiefly revolve around emotion and people, working in various mediums including spray paint, resin and mixed media. Often provocative, he does not fear to challenge his viewers. His latest venture is The Subversive Post Office offering a provocative look at current events with pop references on hand-painted postage stamps.

RichHARD is a graduate of Central Saint Martins. He commutes between London and Barcelona, and exhibits regularly in the UK and Spain with upcoming exhibitions in the US.
