Royal Jubilee

Laura uses her signature bold brushstrokes, drips and pours in multiple layers to produce a distinct take on the Union Jack. This 3-dimensional work is sculpted with poured red, blue and silver/platinum acrylic paint on aluminium panel, and framed in a silver-foil wood frame. The paint has been manipulated to create waves and folds giving it a fresh and dynamic visual effect. The British flag as a subject is Laura's comment on contemporary Britain, and engages the viewer inviting their own interpretation.
