Nam likes to create pieces inspired by his childhood memories of video games and toys with a modern twist. He fuses these creations with experimental techniques and finishes, making them classic works of art in their own right. The firing and glazing techniques used in the Ego Man series produce different finishes for each piece, making every edition a unique work of art. Please expect variations from the images in some of the actual editioned works purchased.

Artist: Nam Tran

Nam specialising in wheel-thrown raku, bringing years of experience and craftsmanship to every object made. His work focuses primarily on exploring the physical properties of clay and experimenting with alternative firing techniques which are key characteristics of his work.

Nam is an award-winning practitioner who exhibits internationally. Since appearing as a contestant in BBC's The Great Pottery Thrown Down 2017, he has been in high demand to conduct lectures, demos and workshops all around the country. He studied at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Arts.
